Join us for an evening of Fun, Fellowship and getting ready for the fall!!! There will be Seminars, 3D Archery Shooting, Meal, Door Prizes and More. Come out to Chick-Owa Sportsman Club for this great family event. Doors open at 3:00pm. If you want to shoot the 3D course, time slots are limited so sign up right away.

The event is free but there are costs for shooting 3D, meal (Pig Roast, sides, drink) and Tshirts. There will also be some raffles available (Bows, guns...). As it gets closer we will post the seminar schedule.
Here is the Schedule for Sunday afternoon:

3:00pm- doors open to public

3:15- First set of shooters at 3D course (1.5 hours to shoot, shotgun start)

- First Seminar (45 mins)- Lost Blood Deer Tracking- Brian Alberda- How using a dog works, shot placement, reading sign when tracking. This is helpful for all hunters to know be able to be more successful in recovering wounded big game. Brian has been a dog tracker for close to 10 years. He now has 2 incredible tracking dogs and runs nearly 100 tracks in a season. You will be able to learn from him!!

4:15- second seminar (45 mins)- Joe Griffin with Elite Outdoors, Fair Chase Hunting talks about How to make your dream hunts a reality. Joe is from West MI and has traveled all over North America on adventures. He will help talk about what to look for guides, how to start planning a DIY hunt and share a little about the Grizzly Hunt he was just on in Alaska.

4:45- Send flight of archery on 3d course (1.5 hours)

5:15- third seminar (45 mins)- Matt Lehr with Hunt Mentality Podcast talks about the 200" buck he killed on public land in IL a couple years ago. He will share to how to begin to plan a DIY whitetail trip out of state, some scouting tips and the story about how we killed the 200".

5:30- Dinner starts to be served

6:15- Last seminar (30 mins)- Ross and Matt will demonstrate treestand and saddle safety and techniques.

6:45- Gather for Blessing and door prize, raffles

The event itself is Free- Meal cost $10 per person (Pulled pork sandwich, chips, drink, cookie). To shoot the 3D archery course it is $10. There is also a raffle for Savage 110 Hunter in 6.5 PRC (1-$10, 3-$25). Plus door prizes. Don't miss out on a great time of Fellowship, fun, learning and food to get you excited for the season!!!
